Declaration of Independence Commemoration

UMPI will host a rare copy of the Declaration of Independence as part of the Maine Historical Society’s statewide tour underway this summer and fall as the United States celebrates its Semiquincentennial, or 250th anniversary, this year. Public viewings will take place Sept. 11 and 12 and culminate in a commemorative event on Saturday, Sept. 12, 4 p.m., in the Campus Center Multi-Purpose Room.
