2026 Aroostook County Tourism Summit
May 13 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Free

The tourism and hospitality industry of Maine’s Aroostook County is coming together for a day of workshopping, networking, & visitation data
Tourism is growing
Join us 9-2:30 PM on Thursday, May 13th at Hidden Spring Winery in Hodgdon, Maine for a day committed to growing the tourism industry of Maine’s Aroostook County. Registration is requested, but not required – all are invited.
Together, we can invite more visitors to the region to enjoy the things that make Aroostook the Crown of Maine. All state of Maine associations and tourism offices have been invited and this means it is a great place for Aroostook County businesses to meet and talk with folks from across Maine.
Of all visitors to Maine in the summer of 2025, 7% come to Aroostook County. That is more than double the amount that came in the summer of 2024.
We think that the businesses, trails, parks, and attractions here are ready to double that number again! We can only do it if we all work together. In 2024, Aroostook County saw the first decrease in visitation since 2020 due to no snowfall – 2025 visitation data will reveal if we have bounced back from that decline.
This event is free to attend and lunch is provided. Please come early and stay late – this is a great way to share and connect to growing Maine’s tourism industry.
Do you realize there is a 1 (888) 216-2463 travel number offering live travel advice or that www.visitaroostook.com is brand new?
Do an audit, are you plugged in and taking advantage of all the ways to promote your business for free? The consumer has specific expectations when planning a trip and researching a destination. Do you have print materials where that customer is looking for print materials, is your museum showing up on maps and itineraries? Is your event promoting itself or are you assuming it will be picked up – we can be proactive and by working together, we to put the best foot forward for Maine’s Aroostook County. You can find these tools, visitation data, events listings, and more at Aroostook County Tourism Partners www.visitaroostook.com/act-partners
Who should come?
All are invited. Tourism impacts every person in Aroostook County and Maine. If you own a customer-facing business, are a marketer, museum, trail master, land owner, bartender, or artist… okay… You get it. We have invited people and organizations from across Maine and expect a great turnout from Aroostook County businesses. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet in person and share your ideas of what can be done, marketing examples you love, or what trends you’re seeing here. You are encouraged to bring materials like stickers, brochures, and business cards to share at the resource tables.
Thank you.
Thank you to the generous support of the Maine Office of Tourism, Northern Maine Development Commission and Aroostook County Tourism for making this event possible.
