Because feeling at home starts with feeling connected.
Central Aroostook Community Connectors is a network of local volunteers dedicated to helping newcomers feel welcomed, connected, and at home in Central Aroostook.
Our Connectors are people who know and care about this community and are eager to share what makes it a great place to live, work, and build a life. As Ambassadors, we help newcomers make personal connections, discover local resources and activities, and find their place in the community.
Whether someone has moved here for a new job, returned home after time away, or chosen Central Aroostook for a fresh start, our goal is simple: make it easier to connect, belong, and stay.
Our Ambassador Chapter was formed in partnership with the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce and the Aroostook Partnership. We are part of the Aroostook Partnership’s Aroostook Rising regional talent attraction and retention program and join the Houlton Gateway Ambassadors and the St. John Valley Les Amis de la Vallée in welcoming newcomers across The County.
We connect newcomers with people, resources, organizations, events, and opportunities throughout Central Aroostook. From answering everyday questions and making introductions to helping someone discover ways to get involved, Community Connectors provide a friendly local connection during the transition to a new community.
If you live or work in Central Aroostook and want to serve as a Community Connector, we’d love to hear from you! Help us positively promote this wonderful community and welcome newcomers to our region.
