DESCRIPTION:Shakespeare & Company returns to the UMPI stage Friday\, March 13 for a one-night only performance of the Bard’s iconic tragedy “Hamlet.” A story full of mystery\, revenge\, and tough choices about truth and loyalty\, “Hamlet” follows its titular character as he learns that his uncle killed his father the King\, and now wears the crown. Troupe members will provide a short talk-back for the audience after the show. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. at UMPI’s Gauvin Family Center for Cultural Arts in Wieden Hall\, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. DESCRIPTION:The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Employer U program will host a six-session professional development series titled “Communicating in the Modern Workplace: Speak. Write. Succeed.” beginning Tuesday\, March 31 and continuing through Thursday\, April 16. The series will show participants how to communicate more clearly and confidently in professional settings and cover topics such as effective written communication\, presentations\, and navigating challenging workplace conversations. Each session will take place 3-5 p.m. in UMPI’s MMG Center for Professional Development and on Zoom.
